James came to TCN via the Michigan Renaissance Festival where, as Sgt. Major of the Queen's Royal Guard, he participated with the Fight Team. He joined TCN to continue his training and has become one of our most proficient performers. In addition to his many roles with TCN, he has also performed independently at the Mid-Michigan Renaissance Festival and Mayfaire Renaissance Festival portraying King Henry VIII and the Silver Leaf Renaissance Faire as the French Ambassador and the Pirate Captain.

With TCN, James performed numerous shows in the roles of Captain Mad Dog Boone in the TCN original pirate/comedy/swordfighting show "Mischief Impossible", Lord Ronald of Cornwall in the TCN original Renaissance/comedy/swordfighting show "The Amazing Buckler-O-Maddic", and Romeo in the TCN adapted comedy show "Romeo & Juliet: REDUCED!".

Jim has also lent his skills to TCN by serving as Booking Agent, Contributing Script Writer, Prop Maker, and Resident DJ (DJ RJO).

Currently, James is on an extended sabbatical from TCN due to a near-fatal heart attack in 2014. He has recovered amazingly and will be returning to TCN and performing in the near future.
